Each
page is cleaned up and small flaws, such as creases, ink markings or tears,
are removed or repaired. I decided to leave the yellow sepia tones largely as
I found them. The process of enhancing an image sometimes required me to desaturate
the page to bring the image back to its original hue, resulting in a loss of
yellow to the white areas. Clarity was my first priority, but I did give attention
to the feel of the original. These volumes are, after all, not reprints. - Jon |
